Sergeant Avery Johnson, is a legend in the Red vs. Blue universe. In Episode 3 of Red vs. Blue: ODST, Church reveals that he heard Johnson once took on an entire Covenant battalion by himself, and also heard that he can not be killed. Church's friend's cousin's neighbor told him that Sergeant Johnson has laser eyes (much like Epsilon-Church's Laser Face), but Church is pretty positive that rumor is fake. However, at this point Sergeant Johnson appears behind him. As Johnson's eyes begin to glow, the screen then fades to black, then Sarge advises Church to not look directly into Johnson's eyes. The sound of a Spartan Laser is heard, and Sarge states "Too late." Sarge seems to know him saying that he met Johnson in "Sergeant School." Johnson is also technically seen briefly during Recreation when Epsilon-Church watches the video of his "Laser-Face" (really a scene from Halo 3).
