Lieutenant Max Gain was a Red stationed at Sidewinder.

Role in PlotEdit

Gain managed to capture Grif and Church in Episode 38 of The Blood Gulch Chronicles. It is unknown if he was present on Sidewinder during Church's time stationed on the planet. Max Gain appears briefly in a deleted scene featured on the Season 3 DVD. According to the commentary, he was originally planned to have a much larger role in the series. However, in the midst of having to condense the amount of plot into different episodes and yet make the deadline for the Halo 2 launch, Rooster Teeth decided to omit most of his appearances. He was killed by Wyoming along with the rest of the Reds at Sidewinder. 

TriviaEdit

• Due to his rank, Lieutenant Gain is the highest ranking Red soldier seen in the series and the second-highest ranking Simulation Trooper overall, with Captain Flowers currently being the highest.
• Gain and Lieutenant Miller are the only Lieutenants seen in the series.
• Gain, along with Miller and Flowers, is one of the few commissioned officers in the series known to serve as a simulation trooper.
