"Uh huh, thats great."
—Murphy's last words in The Twins

Murphy was a soldier stationed at the Bjørndal Cryogenics Research Facility in the Arctic Ocean.

Role in PlotEdit

Murphy was put on patrol duty with Scully, who complained about many things, which include the temperature, patrol duty, and another soldier, named Jenkins, who replaced him on Terminal duty. Murphy did not care for the things he complained about likely ignoring him and responding with small sentences. He was killed by Agent South Dakota, who wrapped a rope around his neck and hung him. She then used her voice modulator to imitate Murphy's voice and kill Scully.

TriviaEdit

  • His conversation with Scully is similar to one seen in Reconstruction Chapter 7 between two soldiers named Delario and Burke. With one complaining (Scully) and one casually responding (Murphy).
  • South appears to use a rope to kill Murphy.
  • It is strange how Murphy was killed in front of the room that Scully was in, but his body is found in the room across the bridge from the room he was killed in.  (It may be possible that South moved it so she could take out the other soldier silently.)
  • Murphy appears to be something of a "redshirt" character as he had little dialogue before being killed and was named only after he died.
  • Murphy is said to be Jack Pattillo's favorite character.
