Trivia[]

  • Recreation marks the first time Burnie Burns did not serve as director, with Gavin Free, director of Red vs. Blue: Relocated, helming production. Burns directed the first few episodes, with Free taking control after Chapter 3.
  • This was the first season/mini-series to not utilize every Halo game engine, and the first to not use Halo: Combat Evolved at all.
  • The name Recreation is a double meaning in reference to Church being brought back in the form of Epsilon and how the season leans in more onto the series' comedic roots compared to Reconstruction.
    • Other working titles included Reinstalled, Redundant, Revenant, meaning "A ghost you can't avoid".
